Limits of testing
EyeDetect, VerifEye and all other lie detector tests are not infallible. Wrong and inconclusive results are possible. Accuracy figures quoted on this website are reported by the manufacturer, Converus, and independent research on eye-tracking lie detection is still limited. EyeDetect and VerifEye are not polygraphs and measure different things.
Not proof
A test result is a software-generated score based on measured eye behaviour. It is not proof of truthfulness, guilt or innocence, and should not be the only basis for important decisions about relationships, finances, children, employment or safety.
Courts and other organizations
Results are not accepted as evidence in Canadian criminal courts, and there is no guarantee that any court, employer, police service, insurer or other organization will accept or consider them.
Employment
Laws about lie detector tests in employment differ across Canada. Ontario and New Brunswick employment standards laws prohibit employers from requesting or requiring them. TruthFind does not conduct employer-requested testing where the law prohibits it.
No professional advice
Information on this website is general information. It is not legal, medical, psychological or counselling advice. Speak with a qualified professional about your circumstances.
Voluntary participation
Tests are conducted only with the free and informed consent of the person tested, who may stop at any time.
